How to start a school / revisited

How to start a school?

Something more than 3 months ago I wrote a blog on ‘How to start a school’. Sitting in dielichtfabrik Vienna then and now, I was wondering what does it take to start a school like Knowmads.

Now this is me and what I want. But, how really to start a school? I believe it takes people, it takes inspired and active minds. So if this story inspires you, follow what happens and find your moment to take part. I believe that on the way you might want to hop on and do this journey with me, in your and in our way.

Let’s say, from now on everything is possible, the game is on.

I spent three months travelling Spain and learning. Meeting people, doers, talkers, activists, entrepreneurs, artists, teachers & many more. Meeting also myself and my personal challenges, my depths and heights, my will and passion for the subject of new education and the creation of new worlds.

‘One person with passion is better than 40 people merely interested.’ – E.M. Forster

I realized something. Though I’m one person with passion and can move more than 40 people that are merely interested, passion needs to be sustained.
I love doing things on my own. It makes life so beautifully uncomplicated and straightforward, at least if I’m aligned with myself.
I love it. And the time to walk alone is over.

If you want to walk fast, walk alone. If you want to walk far, walk together.

These days I’m calling out to all the Knowmads out there. The ‘educated’ ones from Amsterdam and the Knowmads at heart. The individuals with ‘inquietudes’ as you say in spanish, the misfits. Those passionate about education, about bringing beauty and humane-ness back in the picture of entrepreneurship, education, society. Those hungering for realness.

I am calling out to form a team. A tribe if you will.

It’s no question anymore what it takes to start a school. It’s people.

I feel vulnerable and relieved at the same time. I’m asking for help.

You’re invited to play the game with me, it’s on.

Welcome Home, friends!
